HEY! I'M LAURA.

I'm the illustrator, maker, and the one-woman whirlwind behind Custard Moon Studios.

By day, I work as a Veterinary Care Assistant (yes, I get to cuddle animals and call it a job!), and by night, I dive into my colourful little world of handmade creations. I'm also a proud dog mum to Milo — my fluffy sidekick and studio assistant.

Custard Moon started as a hobby, sketching hand-drawn cards for friends and family. Now, it's a joyful blend of personalised digital prints and handmade scrunchies — each one bursting with colour, character, and care. I’m obsessed with bold, happy colours, and that love shines through in every piece I make.

My scrunchies are my safe place in a world full of madness — a mindful little escape where I get to create something beautiful and sustainable.

When I’m not designing or working with animals, you’ll find me crunching on Wotsits, munching Rice Krispies, or dreaming about tacos (Mexican food is my love language).

My dream? To one day own my own cosy gift shop... and maybe work part-time in a zoo, obviously!

Custard Moon is built on a commitment to conscious crafting. We try to use as many upcycled or repurposed materials as we can — including ex-interior deadstock and offcuts from previous projects. By giving new life to materials that would otherwise go to waste, sustainability is woven into every piece.
